Buying A Domain Is Not Difficult!

Making your images fit into the right spots, on websites, can however be challenging. The difficult thing is a certain lack of faith and trust, of course in addition to expense buying something closer to the "exact domain" that you want. I believe a beginner could start with any domain they can get, like a dot Org, dot Info, or a dot US, because the important thing may well be getting their website started and learning the ropes of the Web.

However a more advanced user, or someone who wants to maximize their effort from the beginning might want to consider paying more money for a domain that will be easy to remember, here is a great example, of a Simple To Remember domain name, and the website it's connected with.

The simplest way to buy a domain, is to go to any domain registrar and buy it directly. (Don't worry I will soon be publishing my own "scathing" editorial on the big bad world of domain registration practices, as well as some of he hugest "lies" that are institutional such as selling "Unlimited WebSpace" etc.

Any good web master should always endeavor to place a picture along with any given post. Often in the wonderful word of web development you will want to use a file, yet the file is ion the wrong format. In this case I could not use an image (one done on Paint or something like it maybe Correl) I would say about 4 years ago. So I could say that I think I spent about two hours researching open source software deigned to solve many of my image handling problems.

The software is called Gimp, and its not primarily designed for Macs. So instead of using an image that my daughter created, I found a picture from when my daughter and I attended a Holocaust convention (my mom was a hidden child in Poland during the Holocaust). Perhaps its also interesting to note that because the Mac's seem to lack what PC's have in the way of image software, (I believe because the Mac strategy is to keep you coming back to buy more products), I had to spend about a solid 15 minutes, cropping, and saving (creating and saving no less than 4 different versions (and this one does not do justice to the original image.)

Finally (and then my shared research) there is some concern when buying a domain from an auction, or even privately, that there are some intrinsic trust issues as well as concern about getting the best price. In theory a domain seller would get the best price at auction, while the buyer might be paying top dollar. However I am still skeptical about either as the best, because sellers will typically have to pay huge commissions (or pay to list in advance, and lose money if it does not sell) and I believe the auction process places undue stress on both buyer and seller.

The undue stress is placing a "Rush" on something that should not be rushed. However from the sellers point of view, at least in concept a timed auction on a quality domain is an effective way of getting "some" money from the given domain at some reasonable time line.

Domain buyers should understand that there are carrying costs (mainly renwal costs associated with domains, and the cardinal rule a domain buyer in my opinion should always avoid is asking the domain buyer what he paid for the given domain.

I will speak more on that later because I have already spent a great deal of time on this blog where I am attempting to explain some fairly complex, yet essential concept about the business of buying and selling domains either for your own use as a web developer, as an investment, which can potentially even yield dividends.

The following information on domains are being provided as recent research that was obtained from a specific paid software package. The domains being listed here are generally available for purchase however one should note that in this case only the appraised prices are being show. Additionally this research is from July 15, 2011. Also I see some of the domains had no value or zero value

The appraised value of some of these domains have gone up, while other have gone down (which of course is a subtopic in itself.

The best explanation I can provide as someone who has developed a knack for purchasing valuable Virtual Real Estate, is something my grandfather told me a long time ago regarding the purchase of real, Real Estate, particularly vacant lots. He said:

"The moment you place the shovel in the ground you have already increased the value of the property"- Mark Plachowski (ps.. I hope to update this with the proper spelling of his real name which he changed during the war in Poland)... BTW my 1st Hebrew name Aharon, is after his Father (my great, great grandfather who owned a chemical plant in Poland and thankfully died of natural causes before the Holocaust).

A name really does mean a lot especially in the very crowded market place which is the world wide web.

Finally I am interested in selling some of these domains, others I do indeed want to develop. Probably if I had unlimited resources to develop my website I probably would not sell any of these domains. I think a person who really wants top own a specific domain, because he has a plan as to how to make that specific domain into a website that has a function and a purpose "related to its name" like my favorite example:

HyIpListings.com which I will sell for exactly what its most recent appraised price is: $3,000 with a possible concern, proviso, "string-attached" that it being my first sale, the buyer be willing to help me implement a concept and match my 10% of the sale price donation of $300 with his on 10% donation to a good cause being the Passaic Torah Institute which has taught me so much about so many things.

enrollment form. The dinner is going to be held on Sunday December 4th at 5pm, I am planning to be there (G-d willing) along with my daughter and mom. Its kind of special for us because my daughter and I have never missed one of these events and I have all sorts of videos and pictures of this always inspiring event. Additionally I have also heard that there is going to be artwork and hand made Jewelry of and from Tzfat (Safed) Israel, one of the most beautiful and most spiritual places on earth.

The WeddingPkg.com is an interesting domain and I see its value as low. The domain SocialAdCloud.com is one I am somehow not truly expecting to sell here (then again who knows) While find cash quickly is an easy winner for anyone into the business of selling of "Hard Money" loans. I could not think of a better way to get a goodbye statement to  PTI than getting some huge check printed for $6,550 presented by myself and the lucky "winner" of this domain.

I do not mean to sound over egotistical yet one must admit that the specific appeal of such a name with its lucrative niche, is a definite value, perhaps even in the six figure region. The potential "New Owner" of this domain might want to order a true appraisal "not a software robot appraisal" and perhaps offer me more if its fair market value is worth 5-7 times more!
