As stated previously the highly lucrative business of domaining is absolutely not fun! If I had top choose between web site development and domain buying and selling, its a pure no brainer, website development.
I am going to be sharing some actual research of domain values from yesterday. Some of the values go up, as the awareness of their value becomes more widespread, while other domain values go down for no apparent reason.
Like other country code TLD's like; dot co, dot ca or dot uk it may have specific regulations regarding its use. However in my opinion dot us has some of the advantages of country codes like dot me and dot in, in that these country code also spell out nice little two letter words.
So the picture above was taken in Israel (a country that has the country code dot il) and I feel the pictures can sometimes be protected from theft, and also have their message enhanced at the same time. If you build websites, in a addition to buying domains, and happen to be a photographer, think of how easy you can kill a few birds with one stone by plastering a watermark over a photograph.Personally I believe that tying in the country code to meaning or the domain is a good thing. In this instance I think I think the concept of the United States being responsible for fixing the world gets taken to another level.
While dot US is the country code TLD for the United States, it is also is an english word. Who is supposed to fix the world? Is it the orthodox Jews praying at the wall on Tisha B'Av, is that the United States with its foreign and domestic policies, or is it really up to us all; "US"?
